Life in Rexburg!!

We have been staying with my family in Rexburg for just over a week now and we have had a blast! Kambri is loving all of the attention she is getting from all of her aunts and uncles here and of course from Grandma and Grandpa! She has carved pumpkins with Aunt Julie, Zack (Julie's friend) and Uncle Jared, she's had Uncle John take her on a bike ride, played around with Aunt Lorna and she went trick-or-treating with Grandma and Grandpa. She had the cutest little ladybug costume made by me and Deborah (ok, so I only glued on the dots). Cohen is still the greatest baby. I've always heard that boys are easier than girls but I never dreamed they were this much easier! He's so laid back and chill! We really have enjoyed our time here but are excited to head back home Thursday. We are starting to miss Nate, Pete and Harry as well as our own beds! Here I've posted only a few of the pictures taken here in Rexburg. I'm sure there are still more to come. WE MISS YOU BRIAN!!!!

Brian is in Denver

Brian is in Denver and will be for the next four weeks. I'll be spending time with my family in Rexburg and some time with his family in Kennewick while he is gone. Though it will be nice to visit family it would be nicer just to have him home in Boise.

Photos of Kambri

Here are some pictures my dad and Deborah took of Kambri when Cohen was first born. My dad has just started taking photos in this last year and he's really good at it! Maybe while I'm in Rexburg next week I can get him to take a few more of the kids.
The other people in the photos are my Aunt Darla and her family. They are Kambri's second family here. She loves all of them and it's so cute to see the way the boys adore her too!

Crazy Kambri and Cohen update

Kambri has become a very independent girl over the past few months. We have taught her that she can get things for herself, and if she can't reach it she will have to get her step and climb to get it, if the step isn't big enough she needs to put a book or two on top of the step to get her just a bit higher. Last night she was trying to reach something on top of the tv and the step just wasn't big enough so she looked around the room and found a piece of paper to step on to make her tall enough to reach it. I thought it was pretty funny so I took some pictures.

Cohen is doing great. Just like he was calm when I was pregnant he is a clam little guy now. He is so patient, he rarely cries and even when he does cry a pacifier will quiet him right away. He is even patient with Kambri taking away his pacifier and poking at him all the time. It's so much different than things were with Kambri as a baby. We did take him in for his two week check up and he has gained 9 oz past his birth weight putting him at 7 lbs 14 oz. He really is a great blessing to have in our home.

More Pictures

Here are a few new pictures of Cohen. We were so happy that we got to have Dad and Deborah in town to help out. Hopefully this transition goes smoothly.

Cohen Bradley Stites

So Cohen is here now! Things really went great! He was born 7lbs 5oz and 20 inches long. He's very healthy only losing one ounce in the hospital. He's a good eater and sleeper (although that doesn't mean much when you are just one day old). My recovery is going great as well, even better than with Kambri. He's a cute one, here are pictures from yesterday.
Just waiting around for Cohen to come!

He's here!!!

Less than ten minutes old and he's still so cute!!!

First picture with mom and dad.

His first bath

Kambri's first visit, just a few hours after he was born.

Kambri is a great big sister!

Isn't he sweet?

A fun and busy week

So I only have a few hours left until the baby is born. I thought the last few weeks might go by slowly but they really have gone by so fast. Last week we kept very busy. We did the library music and movement times on Tuesday and Wednesday, on Thursday my good friend Danielle threw me a playdate baby shower. It was so much fun. We ate and painted our nails (the pictures are from this shower, looks like Kambri and I have the same problem with squinting our eyes for pictures). On Friday I went back to work for a day...crazy huh? They have been busy and unable to keep the new girls there so they asked if I would work for half the day on Friday. After work we went to the womens show with Darla and Danielle. And on Saturday my friend from church Brooke threw me another shower! It was so much fun, we had all of my family in the area there and the girls from work and my friends from the ward there. We all just ate, talked and played a few games. It really was such a good time! There has been so much going on that I can't believe the time is here. So crazy!! I was thinking the other day how crazy it would be if the ultrasound tech was wrong and out came a girl. Because of the showers and hand me downs from some friends I have more boy clothes than I had girl clothes. And just a few weeks ago we decided to get rid of all of our old baby girl clothes so if it turns out the tech was wrong we'll be in trouble. Just a few more hours to see!!!
