Cohen is getting so big!

Cohen went in for his four month check up... here are his measurements:
Head 16 inches 10%
Lenght 24.5 inches 30%
Weight 11 lbs 4 oz 25%

He really is growing right before our eyes.  He is becoming a better baby...if that's even possible. He's happy all the time!  Unless no one has payed him any attention for a while.  Kambri is loving being a big sister. Her favorite thing to do is to feed him but as you can see in the other pictures Cohen is pretty good at holding his own bottle.

High School and Dr. Phil

So I was watching Dr. Phil today (the last 20 min anyway) and it was about people going to a high school reunion. Maybe it was because I grew up in a small town in Idaho or maybe it was because I was totally oblivious to my surroundings but I was thinking about it and I'm not sure who the popular people were, who the nerds were, who the outcasts, bullies or jocks were.  I really don't think we had that.  People did hang out with their groups but I don't really think there were labels like that and different groups hung out and mixed all the time. Brian talks about the Kennewick high school "wall", where only popular people were allowed to stand against.  We didn't have that...did we?  So to all you Madison people out there we had a pretty good school where you didn't really have to worry about labels, right? If I'm wrong in this I'm curious.....what was I labeled?

Spending the week with Kirsten and Jonas

Kirsten came to Boise for a visit this past week. We had such a great time. We shopped, crafted, talked and ate.  It was so great to have my best friend here for a while...we really enjoyed Jonas as well. One of the days she was here Grandma Quinn had us as well as our cousins and their kids over for lunch. It was so much fun to hang out with everyone...that is where the pictures are from. Thanks for the visit Kirsten!

Mr. Pister...My brag blog on Cohen

I call him Mr. Pister but really he is an angel baby (for the most part).  Cohen is so sweet!  He's so young, so there isn't as much to write about as there is about the busy and crazy Kambri but he is really so great.  He is such a chill baby.  I think back to the days of Kambri at his age and I really can't believe how sweet, calm and mellow he is.  I have to make sure that I feed him every four hours or so because he doesn't really put up too much of a fuss, as long as he has his pacifier he's content.  He's great at being bumped and pushed around by Kambri, he's a pretty good sleeper, and he's a little talker...I don't remember Kambri talking like Cohen does.  He looks right into your eyes and goos for long amounts of time.  I remember when Kambri was an only child I thought, how can I love another child as much as much as I love her.  And now that he's here I see how my love just expands...I really can't explain how he makes me feel...it's like...my whole body fills up with this warm feeling and I can feel my heart beat stronger when ever I'm holding him or even talk about him or think of him.  Really it's that way with both my kids.  The love I feel for my kids is unlike any other feeling I've ever felt. I feel like every one should be jealous of my amazing children. (I'm sure this is the way all mothers feel about their children...if not it should be). Anyway, Cohen is such an amazing little boy and I can't wait for the adventures ahead of us in the life of this sweet little boy.

Holiday Picture Overload

We really did have a great Christmas and New Years!  We spent a nice Christmas at home is Boise and we went to Rexburg for our New Years celebration.  We were lucky enough to get a lot of snow while in Rexburg so we went sledding, built a snowman and played a lot in the snow.  Here are our pictures...

My brag blog about Kambri

Kambri is probably the craziest two year old you will ever meet. She is the most independent, strong willed little girl I've ever known. She loves being a "mom". She does this new thing where she calls me Kiera and she makes me call her mom. We were going to a friends house a few days ago and I said "Kambri get your coat on". She looked at me with the stern mom eyes, pointed at me and said, "Kiera, you call ME mom!!". I think she got that from me saying that to her about calling her grandma Deborah, and calling me Kiera in public. She also insists on having a ponytail on the back of her head because it is a mom's hairdo. (We argue about this nearly every morning). She's really into dancing right now and she loves to put on a show for people. My favorite is when she break dances, she walks around backwards on her hands and feet then holds one leg in the air in a break dance hold. She's really a great little girl, she's (for the most part) very well behaved in public, she's so smart, totally potty trained by 2 1/2, knowing all of her colors, shapes and abc's (I'm sure most two year old's do and know this, but I'm a proud parent!). She uses her step to get what ever it is she needs making her very independent, and the best part is she goes to bed and naps on her own, I just ask her to go, she gives me a kiss takes her step into her room to turn off her light and then climbs into her bed. I usually go in ten minutes later to sing to her but I love that she does all of that on her own with out throwing fits and crying (unless we are at grandma and grandpas house). I know every person thinks their child is the most beautiful and talented child there ever was and I am right along with the rest of them with both Kambri and Cohen. I'll have to have a Cohen blog next.

Cohen's big day

Last Friday Cohen had his two month check up where he weighed in at a whopping 10 lbs even. He has also grown an inch and a half so he is now 21.5 inches long. Sunday Brian blessed Cohen in church. We had so many friends and family that were able to make it to the occasion. It was a really great day! And Cohen looked so handsome in his little blessing outfit that Deborah had made. Here are a few pictures from that day. (Dad it wouldn't let me upload the pictures with just Cohen and Kambri and the pictures with just Cohen and Brian)
